What is back office co-sourcing in real estate?
Back office co-sourcing is an operating model in which a specialist partner embeds alongside an in-house real estate team to run back office functions: lease abstraction, lease administration, property, fund and corporate accounting, and asset management support, on a shared platform with shared accountability. Unlike outsourcing, the work, context, and institutional knowledge stay with the client; the partner adds scale, AI agents, and specialist review.
What's the difference between co-sourcing and outsourcing?
Outsourcing typically means handing a back office function off to an external team who works independently — black-box delivery, SLA-driven, limited context. Co-sourcing means we embed alongside your team as an extension of it. A primary onshore designated leader, a shared operating platform, outcome accountability, and flex capacity. Can we start with one service and add others later?
Yes. Many clients begin with lease abstraction, CAM reconciliations, bank reconciliations or due diligence support on a single acquisition, then expand into full property accounting, lease administration or asset management support as trust compounds. There are no forced bundles, no minimum spend across services.
Where are your delivery locations?
NuSource operates from five locations: Los Angeles, London, Chennai, Mumbai, and Manila. Onshore leads are based in your region; specialist capacity scales from our offshore locations on one integrated platform.
How does data security work?
SOC 1 and 2 certified processes, ISO certified, GDPR-compliant data handling, with active BCDR plans, segregated client environments, role-based access control, and encrypted data in transit and at rest. We support some of the world’s most highly regulated real estate operations.
How quickly can you onboard?
We can begin ramping a team within 2 weeks to pilot, then build out SOPs and reach full onboarding within 4 to 6 weeks of operating the designated functions. Onboarding covers SOP documentation, security setup, and ramp of the designated team. Smaller engagements can move faster; large multi-service rollouts may take 8–10 weeks.
Can you flex capacity up and down?
Yes. Capacity flexes month-to-month with no long-term volume commitments. Spike for transactions, year-end close, or audit periods. Scale down during quiet months. The hub-and-spoke model is designed exactly for this kind of variable demand.
