Deal Tracker Predicament

A top 10 Retail REIT client, approached NTrust to help automate their leasing process.

A client was using a shared Excel spreadsheet into which each leasing agent would enter data about the property, space, prospect, and deal points. They had to get the property and space data from their MRI system and manually re-enter it into the spreadsheet. Result was inconsistent, inacurate data with a high error rate.

SOLUTION

NTrust used an accelerated three-pronged approach for managing this project:

Discovery: Uncovered all the data to be included along with the client’s reporting requirements. During this phase, made recommendations for automating certain aspects including integrating REmaap to pull directly from the client’s ERP; quick process and eliminated data entry errors.

Proof-of-concept: In parallel with the automation work being done, NTrust developed specified reports requested by the client. During this phase, all the client teams validated the work in preparation for user-testing.

User acceptance testing: Once the data set was agreed upon, and all data dependencies were identified, the configuration of REmaap as a Deal Tracker application took one week. This built-in flexibility allows very quick implementation schedules and greatly reduced costs. It also avoids the “implementation fatigue” that plagues many IT projects and that causes less than optimal results to be accepted.
